Campers discover a world beyond brownies and chocolate chip cookies as we learn to prepare sweet and savory chocolate dishes. Our menu will include fondue, dipped strawberries, buttercream, mousse, ice cream, slow cooker mole wings, and barbeque sauce—yum! We’ll begin with an overview and tasting of different kinds of chocolate, and cover the history and the production of chocolate in its various forms. We’ll learn the best uses for each type, and the tips and tricks to avoid pitfalls when working with chocolate. This is a week of being really messy, and really chocolatey, while learning recipes, techniques, and inspiration to go beyond the brownie!
