UT Tyler Camps & Youth Programs - Math & Science Camp

Dates: June 3-7, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Grades: Entering 8th and 9th in the fall of 2019 Gender: Co-Ed This camp will expose students to mathematical and scientific principles through exciting experimentation and investigation. Topics and activities covered: Reflection and Refraction - Light and Billiards Ratio and Proportion - Gears and Bicycles Probability and Statistics - Dice Games The Balance - elaborate hanging mobile in the style of Alexander Calder Buoyancy - an exploration of fluid mechanics Gravity and Projectiles - Nerf guns Scholarships are available and based on need. Please email Regan Beckham (rbeckham@uttyler.edu) a 100 to 200-word explanation as to why you require a scholarship, and the benefit of your child attending this camp. Allow 1 week for a reply.
