Birchwood Camp - Music and Drama (MAD) Camp
MAD (Music and Drama) Camp participants audition for, learn, practice and choreograph a prepared musical during their week at camp. The campers put on two performances at the end of the week for family, friends and the community. In between rehearsals, MAD campers still find time for all the great camp activities. Prior acting or musical experience is not required!
Birchwood Camp offers campers the opportunity to explore what life is like in a genuine Christian community! Life at Birchwood Camp centers on acceptance, trust, and Christian caring.
While at Birchwood, campers live in log cabins with bunk beds and mattresses and a centralized bathroom/shower house. Each cabin has at least 2 counselors and up to 10 campers. Camp activities—worship, swimming, singing, crafts, boating, games, the music and drama practice, Bible study, campfires, and the community challenge course—are designed for experiential learning. Through these experiences, campers will deepen their Christian faith and gain an appreciation for the wonders of God’s world. Campers will also make friendships and memories that will last a lifetime!
