Trekkers will engage their adventurous spirits as they learn outdoor skills and exciting ways to thrive in nature. Campers will hike through the pines of Lookout Mountain, explore the rivers of Morrison, and learn how to make a survival kit and build a shelter. Nature Trekkers will discover the outdoor skills geologists, paleontologists, and naturalists need to fully explore our unique backyard, such as map and compass skills and wildlife and plant identification. Field trips may include Lookout Mountain Nature Center, Idaho Springs, Triceratops Trail fossil sites, and more! Prepare to see the outdoors in a whole new light! This camp is recommended for children that have finished kindergarten through those going into fifth grade, or 6 to 10 years of age.
