Camp Kinder Ring - Free to Be Me
The Camp Kinder Ring Free to Be Me program aims to provide young people (10-15 years old) with Tourette Syndrome with a one-week summer camp experience that allows each participant to participate in a wide array of traditional summer camp activities. By partaking in this program, these young people will be encouraged to be themselves and utilize their individuality to reach goals and meet successes. This program joins with the full Camp Kinder Ring program to focus on Making the World a Better Place – by teaching each and every camper to positively advocate for themselves, voice their opinions, be part of a larger camp community, treat all in a respectful manner, and always care for others. Participants will build valuable friendships, accomplish significant personal achievement, and gain important feelings of independence in a safe and secure environment where each camper is valued and all campers and staff leave with memories that will last a lifetime.
