S’mores are super fun anytime, but how about when they’re roasted on a robotic arm your Girl Scout built herself? Camp this week has an outer space twist. Campers will use the pool to imagine life in zero gravity, stay up late to study the moon’s craters with high-powered telescopes, and get inventive making up their own constellation stories to tell around the campfire. Plus, they’ll use Camp Ehawee’s brand new G.I.R.L. Makerspace to build robots, launch rockets and measure meteorites. Fun fact: Girls will follow in the footsteps of Girl Scouts of the USA CEO, Sylvia Acevedo, who is also a rocket scientist! She credits her STEM career to Girl Scouts where she first had the chance to shoot off rockets and study the skies...just like girls will do this week at Ehawee.
