Campers of all ages, from our youngest Pioneers (1st-3rd grade) to our most seasoned Settlers (9th-12th grade) grow in faith, friendship, and self-esteem at camp! Our youth camps are specially designed to meet the needs of our campers throughout childhood and adolescence. Youth camps at Crossways are relational, participatory, and faith-centered! ​Part of the transformational power of camp comes from the independence and autonomy campers develop as a result of being in a place that is different from home. Camp provides just the right amount of opportunities to challenge oneself, learn new skills, and make new skills in a safe environment. All programs include daily camp-style worship, Bible study, and evening devotions. Faith comes alive at camp, where campers come together in Christ, lives are changed, and communities are enhanced!Our Mavericks program gives youth in this age group the opportunity to experience unconditional acceptance of their true selves, just as God made them, regardless of their clothes, shoes, athletic ability, or whether or not they have the latest tech gadget. Mavericks will enjoy classic recreational activities like swimming and boating, bike rides, archery (Pine Lake only), nature activities, and even a canoe trip on a local river (Village only). Special art activities will spark their creativity while an overnight camp-out will build camaraderie and foster independence. The climbing wall (Village only) builds self-esteem, and our low ropes challenge course elements bond cabin groups and teaches campers how to problem solve and work together.
