Twenty-two teens with type 1 diabetes, ages 14 - 18 AND currently enrolled in high school, will get to enjoy 3 days and 2 nights of bonding, leadership development, and fun! One main focus of the Teen Retreat is helping attendees gain more independence in their diabetes management. Some highlights will include: Campfire Hiking Lip Sync Battle Wooden Craft Large Group Games Teen Retreat will take place at River Bend Lodge in Davis, OK. RBL is located near Turner Falls Park in scenic south central Oklahoma. The lodges are roughly 1-hour South of the Oklahoma City area.
