Hog Island Audubon Camp - Marine Natural History

Costs include all lodging, meals, workshops, and boat trips. Designed for ages 14-17 years old. Hog Island, situated in the upper reaches of Muscungus Bay and renown as a base for Audubon birding experiences and the Seabird Restoration Program, provides a terrific location for exploring the rocky Maine coastline and learning about the marine environment. Take advantage of this opportunity based on hands-on field experiences (seining, crab census, tide pool observations, plankton tows, and more) to add to your high school education and prepare you for college and beyond. The intense program is designed for ages 14-17 only (14 years olds CANNOT fly independently to camp - call if you have questions). Occurring concurrently with the adult “Raptor Rapture” session, participants will also be given the chance to learn from these raptor biologists.
