Our vision empowers high school students to feel alive, competent and part of a self-motivated team. Enjoy world class expeditions in rock climbing, whitewater rafting, backpacking, biking, sailing, kayaking, horse packing and service projects. If you are interested in fun, community service, cultural and language immersion, adventure and travel then this is the camp for you. Rock climb in Colorado, language class in Costa Rica, world class whitewater rafting, climb peaks, PADI SCUBA dive Fiji, build bamboo rafts in Bali, hike the great wall of China, visit Machu Picchu or surf the warm blue waters of Hawaii! Extraordinary leaders + motivated participants + quality adventures = friendships and experiences which will last a lifetime. Bold Earth participants don't have to be "super athletes" or experienced in the camp activities. However, the programs do require a spirit of mental and physical readiness, a willingness to venture beyond one's own environment, and an ability to meet new friends while journeying into unexplored territory. Bold Earth is accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA). ACA accreditation requires meeting or exceeding over 300 standards including leader qualifications, first aid, emergency procedures, vehicle safety, etc. Bold Earth Trip Leaders are highly motivated role models with extensive experience working with teenagers in adventure camp environments. Bold Earth trip leaders are certified in the highest levels of first aid, CPR and lifeguard training. Each leader has a passion for working in the outdoors with teenagers, and many continue to work with Bold Earth Teen Adventures for six or more years. All trips include one male and one female Trip Leader with an average age of twenty-six years old. Our hiring process is competitive, resulting in what we believe to be the most professional, safe and experienced leaders in the industry. We conduct an in-depth interview, check references and do a background check of all potential Trip Leaders. Organizational skills, and an ability to successfully teach teenagers about leadership and wilderness travel, are the talents we value most. For 36 years, the mission of Bold Earth has been to offer an adventure for every enthusiastic traveler, 11 - 18 years of age, from beginner to expert! Our leaders are the best in the industry with over eighty hours of backcountry first aid and extensive experience working with students. Our leader’s first priority is safety and the second is FUN!
