Phantom Lake YMCA Camp - Day Camp Program
Day Camp activities are designed toward skill levels appropriate for each age group. Campers will experience success while building skills that will last a lifetime.
The camp philosophy is based on the bible verse Luke 2:52,"And Jesus increased in wisdom, and in stature, and in favor with God and man." These four areas of growth are symbolized by the four sides of the Phantom Square. Camps Mini-Tyke, Zicahota and Nagi help your child grow in self-confidence. They will discover the ability to work and play within the camp group, and develop a love and appreciation for each other and the world.
The heart of the day camp experience is found in small close-knit groups of campers. Three to ten children, together with their counselors, participate in a large variety of activities that are geared toward camper skill level and age.
Activities include boating, swimming, fishing, sports, hiking, nature studies, crafts, singing, group games, skits, theme days, climbing wall, archery, swimming lessons and many more. Campers are provided with a hot lunch daily. On Chuck Wagon Friday, we have a cook-out with hot dogs and all the trimmings.
