Girls ages 8 - 17: What are YOU doing this summer? Why not spend a week or two (or more!) dancing, making new friends & having a BLAST with American Dance Training Camps - the ULTIMATE overnight dance camp located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains? Our North Carolina home is YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly, situated near Asheville, one of the most vibrant cities in the Southeast. Asheville boasts an inviting downtown, exciting outdoor adventures, a thriving arts community, and an array of eclectic dining opportunities. At YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly, campers are assigned to double-occupancy dorm rooms with a shared bathroom. ADTC staff is mixed in right along the hallway on each floor, providing campers with 24-hour supervision & support. Amenities include community lounges (for doing arts & crafts and hanging out), laundry facilities, and a Dance Canteen for basic supplies, snacks, apparel & souvenirs. ADTC’s dance instructors are members of some of the best national and international studios and performance groups. Our dance instructors are Broadway and MTV performers, finalists from your favorite dance TV shows, collegiate dance team competitors, teachers and even Dance Company members! Many of our dance instructors return year after year. ADTC’s camper-to-counselor ratio is 7:1. In addition to core dance classes in contemporary, hip hop & jazz (styles of jazz vary and may include lyrical, modern or Broadway), you get to choose between ballet, tap or world dance for your core elective dance discipline each week. Campers take at least four dance classes per day, and at week’s end, you get to show off your new moves in a big Friday Night Performance for family, friends and fellow campers. Day camp option is available upon request! Outside of dance, ADTC North Carolina campers can enjoy awesome activities like aerial dance, horseback riding, rafting, paintball, trampolines and more!
