Trail Blazers - Leaders in Training

Our 4-week Leaders in Training program is grounded in 4 areas specifically crafted to develop teens into well-rounded, productive adults -- Environmental Stewardship, Community Service, Leadership Development, and Personal Growth. When you participate in Leaders in Training at Trail Blazers, you leave with more than good friendships and life-long memories. This program will help you build the skills and develop the tools you’ll need to articulate your goals and put your mind to achieving them. We’ll also give you: ***American Red Cross First Aid and CPR training, so you can leave camp with a certification good for two years and confidence knowing that if an emergency arises, you’ll be able to step up. ***Environmental training inspired by Leave No Trace outdoor ethics. ***Leadership development training that mirrors the training received by our camp staff. You’ll be pushed to try new things and step out of your comfort zone, which is where real growth happens. ***The opportunity to accumulate ten or more volunteer hours through a community service project of your design, a great way to boost your college application. After successful completion of our Leaders in Training summer intensive, participants are invited to further enhance the skills they have acquired during our specialized year-round summit, workshop and conference opportunities. ******************** Understanding that every family's financial situation is different, Trail Blazers sleep away camp programs are offered at four tier levels based on household income. All tier tuition levels include a scholarship reduction, with additional scholarship funding available upon request. Please visit our website for details.
