Camp Hobe'
Camp Hobé is a special summer camp experience designed for children undergoing treatment for cancer (& similar disorders) and their siblings. Our mission is to create an atmosphere that enhances self-esteem, foster independence and friendships, and offers a sense of belonging. Children are given the freedom at camp to “just be kids” for a time and to stretch their limits physically, mentally, and socially. Established in 1985, the program has grown from 15 campers the first year to almost 300 campers each year. The camp offers two 5-day overnight resident camp sessions: one for ages 7 – 11 years and one for ages 12 – 19 years. It also offers a 2-day in-person camp for children ages 4 – 7 years; and a 4-day virtual camp for ages 6 - 19 years.
