Camp Wayne, established in 1921, is a traditional "brother-sister camp", located in beautiful Wayne County Pennsylvania approximately 150 miles from New York and Philadelphia. It has been owned and operated by the Corpuel family since 1952 and is now flourishing under its third generation. Set upon 450 acres of groomed campus areas, open fields and lush forests, the boys’ and girls' camps are situated at opposite ends of our magnificent and private spring fed lake. Camp Wayne is a premier private resident camp for boys and girls ages 6 through 16 with a well-rounded program and a warm, down to earth atmosphere. But as you will find, we are also a whole lot more. Our goal at Camp Wayne is to provide our children with a healthy, happy and rewarding camp experience. Throughout the summer our amazing staff provides a positive influence by fostering the growth and character development of each camper. We value a child’s camp experience as an important part of their maturation. We believe children need to gain a sense of self worth and learn to respect and trust others by living and working together with their peers and counselors. Our campers are encouraged to be honest with themselves, communicate openly with their feelings, develop independence and assume leadership responsibilities. In addition, our campers learn through direct experience at a variety of camp activities where they develop new interests and skills. Camp Wayne offers children a chance to exercise personal initiative as a means to discover their infinite potential.
