Camp Hands Up

History - Camp Hands Up Established in 2003, the Camp Hands Up is the oldest continuously camp in the northwest. The camp opened in 2003 and held in Dayton, Washington, the first camp director was Sheila Cole. She charged the camp in 2003 to 2013. In 2014 & 2015, (second) as camp director was Elly R. No camp in 2016-2019. No camp due the COVID-19 due the Washington State Governor's mandated to all camp closed further notice. The camp restored in the summer 2018. There is no formal camp in 2016-2020. (Noted no camp in 2020 due COVID-19 and all campgrounds closed due Washington State Governor's mandated. Now, a new camp director is (third) Ivan Alfaro, the first deaf male as the camp director in the history. The Camp Hands Up is the leadership, friendship, fellowship, relationship, educational, teamwork with the deaf, hard of hearing, CODA community in the Northwest.
