Camp River Glen

Since 1934 our organization has been housing camps in the San Bernardino National Forest between Big Bear and Redlands, California. Camp River Glen is the third site we’ve owned and operated. Located in the San Bernardino National Forest and operated under permit from the U.S. Forest Service by University Camps, Inc., Camp River Glen is two miles down the Santa Ana River from our first and original site. In 1998, University Camps received the resources necessary to acquire Camp River Glen through a generous gift from The Wildlands Conservancy. Since 1999 University Camps, Inc. has been developing this traditional summer resident camp site for its main program UCLA UniCamp – at the same time UCLA UniCamp Student Volunteers have played host to over 15,000 underserved campers from Los Angeles neighborhoods. . Camp River Glen operates primarily during the summer months and sometimes in the late spring and early fall. Whenever UniCamp or other programs offered through University Camps are not operating, Camp River Glen is open for others to enjoy. Learn how and when your group can arrange to enjoy a visit to Camp River Glen. For more info: campriverglen.org or unicamp.org
