"It's the nature of the place." Riverside Retreat, formerly the South Florida United Methodist Camp, was renamed in 2006 for its location on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River. Our nearly 150 acres are dotted with open meadows and grassy corridors surrounded by a lush forest of pines, cypress, palms, live oaks and other native species. The varied habitat provides beauty and the opportunity for exploration and appreciation of creation, as noted in our motto.
