The Nature Place is an ACA-accredited, nature-oriented, non-competitive summer day camp for kids and teens ages 4-16, located on 200 beautiful acres in Rockland County, NY. Founded in 1985, we have spent over 40 years nurturing campers' connections to themselves, each other, and to the natural world. Campers come to us by bus from Manhattan, Astoria Hoboken, Bergen, and Westchester counties, and arrive by car from Rockland. At The Nature Place, families discover an intentionally small community (capped at 250 campers), pressure-free programming, and an exceptionally caring, well-trained staff. There are no competitive sports and no screens. Instead, campers get outside, build friendships, explore, create, play, and wonder.
