Camp Wood YMCA is Kansas's premier summer resident camp. Our goal is the well-rounded development of youth on physical, social, spiritual, mental, and emotional levels in a safe, fun, outdoor atmosphere. For 100 years, Camp Wood YMCA has provided safe, fun-filled adventures in the heart of the Flint Hills. Located one hour north of Wichita, our 868 acres of pristine prairie, forest, lake, river, and hills are the perfect setting for a variety of aquatic and nature-based programs, while the unspoiled terrain provides a natural backdrop for outdoor play and learning. Cabins and lodges provide shelter while campers experience wonder and excitement exploring deep gullies, running on open fields, swimming in cool lake water, and marveling at a star-filled sky.
