Moss Hollow
The landscape that molds today’s youth will define a community’s future.
Located in Markham, Virginia, on more than 400 acres of beautiful woods,
nestled in the foothills of the Shenandoah Valley, Camp Moss Hollow is
seventy miles west of Washington, D.C. Affectionately called “The Hollow,”
the program provides year-round educational, recreational, and socialization
services for children and youths, 7 to 14 years old from the Greater
Washington area. This serene environment features miles of hiking and
nature trails, rustic cabins, an academic pavilion, large swimming pool, tent
camping and a two-acre lake for fishing and canoeing.
In 2016, Camp Moss Hollow celebrates 50 years of serving Greater
Washington’s youth through enriching camping experiences. Over 30,000 youth have benefited from the camp since 1966.
