Camp Huntington
Camp Huntington is a co-ed, residential therapeutic program for children and young adults, aged from 6 - 21+, with learning and developmental disabilities, including autism, Down Syndrome, ADD/HD. Our program is designed to maximize a child's potential with social and life skills, develop strengths and hidden abilities. Your child will enjoy the fun-filled days of summer camp while learning practical community navigation and recreation skills. We offer a unique program approach of adaptive therapeutic recreation, which combines key elements that encourage progress: structured programming professionally designed and supervised, nurturing care, a positive setting, and academic instruction to meet IEP goals. All of our activities are instructional by design to help children make important strides in their lives. Daily activities stimulate a child's awareness and interest in their environment and relationships, motivating them to build important foundations of self-confidence, self-efficacy, personal growth and independence.
