Imagine your daughter discovering the wonders of the natural world. Imagine her becoming self-sufficient while living with other Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians. Imagine her gaining self-confidence to lead a group through the challenge course. The Girl Scout Council of the Southern Appalachians (GSCSA) specializes in enriching the lives of girls through fun-filled education. At Camp Tanasi, brownies and some Juniors live in cabins; older girls live in platform tents with cots and mattresses. Fresh, home- cooked meals are served daily in Lighton Lodge. Camp Tanasi is located in Andersonville on 461 forested acres bordering Norris Lake, an ideal setting for girls. Camp Tanasi offers a climbing tower, challenge course, rappelling wall, canoeing dock, kayaking, paddle boating, water skiing, hiking trails, backcountry camping, swimming, archery, and crafts. We welcome all girls without regard to race, creed, national origin, or ability.
