Aimed at forming Catholic leaders after the heart of Jesus Christ, the Kenosis – Catholic Leadership Retreat offers youth and adults alike an opportunity to develop their leadership skills through the lens of our shared Catholic faith. Retreatants will engage in seven key pods, each emphasizing a different area of leadership development. These leadership pods are based out of our method of Adventure Catechesis, whereby the retreatants are given the opportunity to experience and develop their leadership skills, rather than just learning of them theoretically. Taking our inspiration from Paul’s hymn to Christ in Philippians 2, each pod is designed to form leaders that pour themselves out for others, in order to be filled up by the Father. Within each pod we have included clear, concise, and concrete leadership skills that retreatants can put into practice after the retreat. This one or two day retreat uses many of the high adventure activities present at Prairie Star Ranch, such as our Climbing Tower, Power Pole, and entire Low Ropes Course. Retreatants’ experience will include time in regular discussion and prayer, hiking and journaling, team building and catechesis. These activities paired with the enthusiasm and talent of our Retreat Team make the Kenosis- Catholic Leadership Retreat a one-of-a-kind experience.
