Rocks & Ropes Perfect for campers who want to learn the exciting skill of rock climbing, or for those who love climbing and want to enjoy a whole week of it! After developing their skills on the Lighthouse Climb, campers will be able to climb real sandstone cliffs during a trip to Grand Ledge, Michigan. Also enjoy Camp Westminster activities such as swimming, campfires, high ropes, and more! Stay for two weeks! The Rocks & Ropes session is followed by an expedition to Devil’s Lake, Wisconsin where campers can gain more experience climbing real rock! Campers who wish to participate in Rocks & Ropes and go on the Devil’s Lake, Wisconsin Expedition are encouraged to register for “Ultimate Rocks & Ropes,” the two-week session that combines these one-of-a-kind experiences. Devil's Lake Expedition Camp Westminster is committed to offering awesome trips for youth. Devil’s Lake State Park just outside of Baraboo, Wisconsin is the most popular rock climbing area in the Midwest. It features spectacular cliffs and other rock formations where the Ice Age glaciers terminal moraine meets an ancient landscape of rock. It’s a truly unique and beautiful area often called the Midwest’s Yellowstone. The Devil’s Lake trip offers an unparalleled outdoor adventure for campers who have completed the Rocks & Ropes session or who have previous rock climbing experience. Try out your climbing skills here top-roping free standing pinnacles, chimneys, and quartzite walls as you achieve unique summit experiences. Then hike through Wisconsin’s most popular state park enjoying amazing rock formations, endless vistas and miles of nature trails. Camp with your new friends at a wonderful campground, cook your own meals, and even go for a swim at one of the Devil’s Lake large sandy beaches.
