Camp Fitch YMCA - Counselor in Training

Counselor in Training is a two week program for 16 year olds who are interested in becoming camp staff. The first week is spent developing specific counseling skills and training in various activities. The second week is spent assisting a counselor with their group and helping lead activities. Participants are evaluated and considered (but not guaranteed) for future positions on the camp staff. Leaders in Training program builds leadership through developing our core values: empathy, vulnerability, growth mindset, and servant leadership. Galleon Fleet provides teens the opportunity to design their own program to master foundational camp skills.
