Godʼs creation is a bountiful source of understanding the Creator. Outpost offers campers an experience of Christian community in creation, during which they learn skills needed to negotiate their own outdoor experiences. Outdoor skills acquisition, communication and creative problem solving, consensus‐seeking and team building, creative worship and faith conversation all contribute to growth in our campers. This growth is progressive by the design of our Outpost programs: Pioneer: for elementary campers, is an introduction to outdoor living, horse riding and outdoor skills. Frontier: for middle school campers, offers opportunities to hone skills and to learn new ones with trips for overnight horse trail rides and kayaking, backpacking and rock climbing experiences. Expedition: for high school campers, builds on skills previously learned and takes campers off‐site for the week to hone outdoor living skills while building their kayaking, backpacking and rock climbing knowledge. Outpost exists to pass along the skills necessary to stay in love with God, with Godʼs people and with Godʼs creation for life.
