Love Camp? If you want to take the next step in becoming a Sherman lake YMCA counselor – this is the road. Entering Grades: 9 – 11 Become a part of Sherman Lake YMCA Camp history. Our proud tradition of fostering outstanding leadership stems from our continued success and dedication in developing our own leaders. This powerful 2-week program is notably different from overnight camp. Leadership campers will experience team building challenges, substantive discussion, inspiring speakers and hands-on leadership opportunities to encourage campers to be positive role models, contributing members of society and leaders in their communities. Emphasizing Sherman Lake YMCA's core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility, LDP campers live together in the Leadership Village under the guidance of seasoned LDP counselors and the LDP director. The 2-week program also includes an off-site adventure to strengthen problem-solving skills in new environments.
