Camp Fire Minnesota - Northwoods Adventure Canoe Trip

Eat, sleep, paddle! Experience serene beauty and the joys of new friends as you paddle, cook over the fire, and sleep under the stars. Campers start the week at Camp Fire Minnesota preparing our meals with two certified Northwoods Specialists. Next, we hit the road heading north toward Camp Fire’s other camp, Camp Bluewater, just past Grand Rapids, MN, where we meet up with additional campers from the North and together map out our journey ahead. After one night in Bluewater Lodge, we embark on a four-day trip canoeing and portaging through the Wabana Chain of Lakes and tent camping at established Forest Service campsites within the Chippewa National Forest. By the time we return to Camp Bluewater on Thursday afternoon, each and every camper feels a great sense of pride in themselves and the group, as well as excitement for a real shower! Up at Camp Bluewater, the lake is a little bit clearer, the stars are a little bit brighter and the adventure is just right. Only the best of the best counselors lead our Northwoods Adventure Trips. They each hold CPR, lifeguard, and Wilderness First Aid certifications. Campers must have experience canoeing and be comfortable in the water. Space is limited to 10 campers per trip. Ages 14-17
