Our qualified and highly experienced program staff supervises all of our activities. For parents, the Family Camp experience is a great way to spend serious quality time with their children, in a setting that is designed for fun all day, every day. There are many special adult activities planned as well, like the Parents Night Out event, in which camp staff offer an evening program for the kids while mom and dad have the "night off". Camp Nawakwa was established in 1947 and is located in the beautiful Barton Flats area of the San Bernardino Mountains. The private 14-acre site is in the National Forest. Camp Nawakwa sits at an elevation of 6,850’ at the northern foot of the San Gorgonio Wilderness. Food Service Leave all the catering to us, as part of your package we provide three meals per day, breakfast, lunch and dinner as well numerous on-site programs. Accommodations Families are accommodated in one of our 12 modern cabins with conveniently located hot showers and bathrooms. All cabins have electricity and heating. Cabins can sleep from 10 to 18 in a dorm style room. Families provide their own bedding and pillows. Families will not have to share accommodations with other families. On-site Programs We are able to offer a number of on-site programs, provided by our certified and experienced staff, these include: archery, climbing tower, arts & crafts, nature hikes, swimming, canoeing, fishing, night hikes and campfire talent show.
