Green River Preserve
Green River Preserve is a non-competitive, co-ed summer camp connecting children with nature. Located in the mountains of North Carolina, GRP offers 1,2, and 3 week sessions for rising 2nd - 9th graders. Rising 9th graders - college freshmen participate in leadership and/or service expedition trips.
Green River Preserve is a safe and comfortable place, both physically and emotionally. Staff are personally interviewed by the camp directors and carefully selected with regard to maturity, sensitivity, intellectual achievement, and integrity as role models.
Designed for bright, curious, and creative children, GRP's unique program allows campers "to be their best me at GRP." A wide variety of activities such as hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, fly fishing, music, guitar, creative arts, pottery, crafts, theater, drawing, painting, outdoor skills, woodworking, archery and BB skeet foster life time learning skills.
Green River Preserve is a GREEN AMERICA approved business. Founded in 1988, GRP's foundational principles are rooted in sustainable practices and a commitment to environmental stewardship. Green River Preserve's program inspires young people to have a greater understanding of themselves, their environment, and their fellow man.
