YMCA CAMP DAKANI is a summer camp owned and operated by the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City. Originally established in 1956, Camp Dakani has been engaging campers, families, and the community for generations. In July 2025, this nearly 50-acre outdoor camp—located in the heart of Oklahoma City—entered a new chapter under the stewardship of the YMCA, an organization with more than a century of experience leading meaningful outdoor camp experiences. Meaning “a day in the out-of-doors,” YMCA CAMP DAKANI offers year-round outdoor adventures that spark courage, build friendships, and create joyful memories. Nestled among wooded acres, the camp invites kids, families, and the broader community to explore, discover, and build bridges to the magic of camp and the great outdoors, while advancing the YMCA’s commitment to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
