YMCA Camps Ockanickon for Boys and Matollionequay for Girls
Our overnight camps will provide your child with a top quality program in a safe, supportive environment led by adult role models. Through the single gender nature of our camps, our campers experience something different and uniquely supportive.
At Camp Ockanickon there is a focus on the individual growth and development of skills and talents distinctive to boys. “Ocky” boys may spend their days swimming and boating, enjoying a sport with their new friends, improving their aim on the archery or air riflery ranges or learning a new appreciation of nature in our Earth Education program. They may also choose to take up digital photography, learn how to play rugby or go fishing. Every boy will also have the opportunity to develop their confidence and leadership skills on our High and Low Challenge Courses, Climbing Tower and Zip Line.
At Camp Matollionequay, girls have the opportunity to build their self-esteem and discover independence in a safe and nurturing environment. “Matolly” girls can participate in one of our many aquatic programs, including swimming, canoeing, kayaking and giant slide or join her new friends in a sport like tennis or archery. They may also take an interest in one of our creative arts offerings such as drama, music or ceramics. Perhaps she will even take up horseback riding!
In each camp, our professional staff provides campers with a positive environment, as well as fun, safe and age-appropriate activities that aim to foster new relationships, build self-confidence and teach new skills. Our camps will positively impact your child for a lifetime.
