Chimney Corners Camp for Girls
For more than 90 years, Chimney Corners Camp YMCA has been a premier overnight summer camp for girls in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, helping young people grow in confidence, independence, and connection. Established in 1931, Chimney Corners has a long-standing tradition of empowering girls through meaningful camp experiences.
Located on a beautiful lakeside campus in the heart of the Berkshires—near cultural landmarks like Jacob’s Pillow, Tanglewood, The Mount, and Shakespeare & Company—Chimney Corners offers a unique blend of outdoor adventure, creative exploration, and meaningful community.
As part of the YMCA, our programs are rooted in values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and are designed to support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Campers choose from a wide range of activities, including:
horseback riding, waterfront (swimming, sailing, kayaking, canoeing), performing and visual arts, woodworking and construction, farm and garden, outdoor adventure and ropes courses, team sports, yoga and wellness, and leadership and service experiences.
Our intentionally designed program supports girls at every stage—from first-time campers to teens—through:
Traditional camp experiences that build friendships and confidence
Specialty and skill-building programs that deepen interests
Travel and Service programs that expand perspective and independence
Leadership development pathways that prepare teens for future roles as counselors, leaders, and community members
At Chimney Corners Camp YMCA, girls unplug, try new things, build lifelong friendships, and discover who they are—supported by a caring community and highly trained staff.
