For thousands of campers over 60 years, Camp Walden has become a home-away-from-home. We’re a traditional camping program where kids explore and grow through challenging new activities and an atmosphere of fun and acceptance. Located on 100 pristine acres of old-growth forest, meadows and sandy beaches in Northern Michigan, Walden offers a menu of 50 different activities from which campers design their own schedules. Our grounds include eight tennis courts, two large athletic fields, an English saddle riding stables, extensive arts and crafts and theater facilities, radio station, dark room, nature nook, new (2017) Dining Room, and much more. Four Mastercraft ski boats crown our exceptional waterfront and boating program. Most of all, we care about giving kids an authentic, meaningful experience! 2-, 3-, 4- and 7-week sessions available.
