Camp Widewater is set in the midst of open meadows and rustling trees of northwest Ohio across the Maumee River from historic Grand Rapids. With 106 acres of gently sloping fields and wooded paths, it blends the natural beauty of a rural setting with the excitement of camp. With group housing under one roof, Harmony Lodge will accomodate up to 130 campers in carpeted, climate-controlled, and fully accessible comfort. The lodge also includes modern meeting spaces as well as an open and welcoming fireside room and a spacious dining room overlooking the pond. While at Widewater, campers of all abilities and ages have space to stretch out and experience wide open play areas amidst God's natural world. Programming is designed for campers to enjoy an outdoor spiritual experience with the comfort of air-conditioned nighttime sleeping. They may take part in a wide range of outdoor activities, including swimming in the pool, canoeing on the Maumee River, archery, sports and field games, and water toys on the pond for anyone who passes a swim test. The outdoor Labyrinth or prayer-path is an 8-circuit Chartes design tucked beneath a canopy of shade trees. Stoned paths encircle the lodge and allow guests using wheelchairs to enjoy as much of the landscape as possible.
